From Quora digest:

Is Trump profiting off from this war?

I’m going to surprise the audience:

Probably not.

Though it won’t be for lack of trying.

The only country he’s helped with his incredibly stupid, illegal and unplanned war is — all together — Russia. His refusal to listen to the experts about the near-certainty Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz eventually led to him lifting sanctions on Russian oil.

Giving Putin billions of dollars to spend on his war in Ukraine.

All while giving the Iranians targeting data to make it easier for them to kill Americans.

(Trump should be impeached for this alone, but that’s another post.)

As always, and like the good low-level mob boss that he is, trump will expect a “taste” of this windfall. Might be in the form of some sort of minerals deal, which trump extracting cash from the companies he allows to partner in the exploitation. Might be help keeping the contents of the Epstein files hidden. But he will at least TRY to extract some personal wealth from this gift to our enemy.

Whether he’ll get it is quite another story. It’s easy to take a $10 billion “finder’s fee” for the $14 billion TikTok deal; he just gets his buddy Larry Ellison to donate money to his PACs, or buy some Truth Social stock, or some crypto crap. It’s a lot harder to divert money from a state-to-state deal.

Here comes the fun bit: Qatar hosts our biggest base in the Middle East because they thought it would be a deterrent to other countries in the region thinking of attacking them. Turns out it made them a target instead.

So, are they rethinking that $400 million plane they were going to “give” trump just because they’re fans?

Are the Saudis pissed that bombs were dropped on their land at the very time they’re trying to convince the world they’re not just oil but also a great place to visit or retire?

Is Dubai starting to think their status as a safe haven (particularly for tax exiles) is threatened because they’re too close to a guy who is gone in three years, quite likely dead before that, and already batshit insane?

It’s pretty easy to imagine a scenario where this overreach proves to be the thing that killed the golden goose.

Oh, I dunno. Trump is doing greeeeat. See?

He's divided our country.

He’s diminished our institutions.

He’s unleashed violent terrorists attacking us on our streets

He’s stealing money from taxpayers.

He’s avoiding accountability on a million things.

He’s alienated every ally we had.

He torched 81 international agreements, treaties and pacts that took decades to establish.

He’s made us a laughingstock on the world stage.

His DOJ and FBI are protecting the world’s largest child sex tracking ring.

His SecDef doesn’t like rules of engagement or adherence to the Geneva Conventions.

He’s more than likely is planning a false flag to blame on Iran.

His State Department’s counterterrorism infrastructure destroyed.

He’s actually taking longer to kill us, than I thought so, there’s that.
