In West Vancouver, Canada, the tide sets the pace for one of the most unique excursions in the Pacific Ocean: at each descent, the sea reveals a rocky path that connects Whytecliff Park with Whyte Islet, a small rock formation with privileged views of the beach and the houses of Gleneagles. A few hours later, the water covers the passage again, making the moment chosen to cross an essential part of the experience. Wet rocks force you to go slowly; The reward, when you get to the top, justifies everything.

The park takes its name from the pale cliffs that once marked this stretch of coastline, and in 1993 it made history when the waters surrounding it became Canada's first saltwater marine protected area. Today they are home to more than 200 species of marine animals, making the place a favorite destination for divers and wildlife watchers.
