St. Patrick's Day
Every March 17, St. Patrick's Day is celebrated, the patron saint of Ireland and a symbol of an identity that unites faith, history and popular joy. This date invites us to remember the mark of the saint in the Christianization of the island and the richness of its traditions. Green in the streets, traditional music, tales of heroes and saints, everything comes together in a day that transcends borders and is lived with gratitude and enthusiasm. It is a time to honor memory and, at the same time, look to the future with hope.
Today we accompany this celebration with an image that takes us to County Donegal, in Ireland. We admire the circular fort of Grianán de Ailech, a stone jewel that dominates hills and waters with its perfect sobriety. Its walls evoke ancient kingdoms and meetings of communities that sought a place of protection and ritual at this height.
Cada 17 de marzo se celebra el Día de San Patricio, patrón de Irlanda y símbolo de una identidad que une fe, historia y alegría popular. Esta fecha invita a recordar la huella del santo en la cristianización de la isla y la riqueza de sus tradiciones. Verde en las calles, música tradicional, cuentos de héroes y santos, todo confluye en una jornada que trasciende fronteras y se vive con gratitud y entusiasmo. Es un momento para honrar la memoria y, al mismo tiempo, mirar al futuro con esperanza.
