Cognitive Reflection Test
New Year let's start with an examination of our intellectual and analytical skills, tomorrow we will publish the answers.
The test in question is called the Cognitive Reflection Test, and its questions are designed to measure the participants' capacity for reflection and reasoning.
The first question is this:
1) A ball and a bat cost a total of $1.10. The bat costs a dollar more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?
The second question proposes:
2) If five machines take five minutes to manufacture five products, how long would it take 100 machines to manufacture 100 products?
Finally, the third question puts the participant in a dilemma:
3) aquatic plants double in number daily and take 48 days to cover a lake. How many days would it take to cover half of the lake?

El test en cuestión se llama Cognitive Reflection Test y sus preguntas están pensadas para medir la capacidad de reflexión y razonamiento de los participantes.
La primera pregunta es la siguiente:
1) Una pelota y un bate cuestan en total 1,10 dólares. El bate cuesta un dólar más que la pelota. ¿Cuánto cuesta la pelota?
La segunda pregunta propone:
