Bormio is a mountain town located in Lombardy, northern Italy, nestled in the Alps and very close to the Stelvio pass. This position has united the communities of the alpine valleys for centuries and has marked their way of life, their routes and their history. Its winter landscape reflects the altitude of the surroundings and the close link of the city with the peaks that surround it.
Its strategic location strengthened a very marked civic identity. For years it was part of the Three Magnificent Communities, famous for their autonomy and for serving as administrative centers of the region. The medieval layout is still present in its stone buildings and in spaces such as Kuerc Square, where community decisions were once made.

Esta posición ha unido durante siglos a las comunidades de los valles alpinos y ha marcado su forma de vida, sus rutas y su historia. Su paisaje invernal refleja la altitud del entorno y el estrecho vínculo de la ciudad con los picos que la rodean.
Su ubicación estratégica fortaleció una identidad cívica muy marcada. Durante años formó parte de las Tres Comunidades Magníficas, famosas por su autonomía y por servir como centros administrativos de la región. El trazado medieval sigue presente en sus edificios de piedra y en espacios como la plaza Kuerc, donde antaño se tomaban decisiones comunitarias.
Bormio es también conocida por sus aguas termales naturales, documentadas desde la época romana.
